Aqueduct Client

Where can I find information about the Quantopian Aqueduct Client / API?

4 responses

Sorry to ask again, but can anybody point me to some documentation?

I’ve never heard of it. Doing a google search on it points to this post as top search result. Where did you hear it from?

Aqueduct is a web API that is a part of the Quantopian Enterprise offering. At a high level, Aqueduct allows enterprise customers to download pipeline outputs off-platform. This makes it possible for clients to integrate models that were developed on Quantopian and export the results to another application or system, such as a trading execution system.

Currently, this API isn't available to the community. A major hurdle standing in the way of providing this API to everyone is data export. By design, Aqueduct makes it possible to export data from the Quantopian platform. Making this data export freely available would violate the licensing agreements we have with our data providers. Ensuring data is kept on the Quantopian platform and not allowing data to be downloaded is one way we can provide so much data for free to the Quantopian Community.

The Link_2 above is the Github repository for the code and is maintained by Quantopian. Not sure what Link_1 is.
