Crypto-currencies backtest

Dear Sirs,

Can I run backtest on Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple?

5 responses

Cryptocurrency trading (eg Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple) is not currently directly supported as a tradable security on Quantopian. There has been talk of several ETFs which could be traded to track Cryptocurrencies but none have been approved by the SEC as of the writing of this post. Additionally, to have an algo allowed in the contest it must trade within the QTradableStocksUS universe (which is US stocks).
