Hi Alex,

Which stock are you looking to reference with ticker FNMA? After a quick Google search, I found a company called Federal National Mortgage Association, which isn't currently listed on a major exchange (OTC Markets). When it comes to US assets, Quantopian provides data for assets trading on NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX (now a part of NYSE, I believe). However, we don't support OTC-traded assets. Was Federal National Mortgage Association previously trading on one of these exchanges?

Yes, you are right, it looks like it is OTC only, my bad. But anyway it is good to know.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had to be bailed out by the US Gov during the GFC. They had to be delisted when they were no longer meeting the NYSE requirements for listed securities. See this Reuter’s article for more info.
