Dear quantopians,

I am wondering how long it takes for an algorithm to be approved. Can it just be technical analysis or does it need to be fundamentals as well?

Eric, welcome to Quantopian. I'm assuming by "an algorithm to be approved" you mean to be selected for an allocation? If so, take a look at this page to see the algorithm style we're looking for: https://www.quantopian.com/allocation

When you have something within those bounds, go ahead and submit it to the contest. The economic rationale of the strategy can be any type, fundamentals, technical, or something else. Good luck!
