Options Trading Update? (RESOLVED)

New to the forums so I apologize if this subjects already been broached.

I've been searching the forums to find anything related to options trading. Over the years of data I've been reading that: while it is possible to run back-tests (in a manner of speaking); it remains impossible to execute an options trade.
Seeing as the most recent post I was able to find was dated May, 2015 and 2017 is around the corner -- I'm curious if any headway has been made.

Are we any closer to being able to execute Option Trading on the Quantopian platform? If so, what are the current difficulties halting progress? If not, is the reason in structuring the information or getting the information? Is it a problem on Robinhood's end?

Hi Shawn,

We are currently focusing our efforts on adding futures trading to the platform. We hope to add options trading at some point, but we are not actively working on adding them to the platform right now.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the quick reply. That is somewhat unfortunate news. Options trading is definitely something I'd like to be a part of creating if possible.

Jamie, is there any update on the futures?
